Buyer Critiques

It doesn't come with screws. The screws that came with my s107 do not fit the holes on the key shaft. The original fly bar doesn't fit on the replacement most important shaft and it doesn't come with the pin to hold the fly bar on. The original pin that I did have does not match the replacement shaft. I can not mix original parts with the replacement parts and the replacement parts do not come with any screws or pins to connect. Tremendously disappointed in this product. Do not waste your time.

Seems like an exact OEM replacement. Unbelievable how much they charge for these stupid tiny pieces of plastic though. Highway Robbery at its finest.

I place it on but it break apart in 30 seconds. I manage to get this tiny little issue on the floor but it will not last on my helicopter for long adequate.

Client Reviews

After flying my S107 for a handful of weeks I did not expect any micro coaxial helicopter to leading it for fun. I was incorrect...
The Avatar Z008 didn't fly very so quickly at 1st. It was much more troublesome to sustain altitude. I did not care for the dead stick throttle. It was too simple and easy to begin the issue with blades spinning and then the mad rush to get it below control. I put a heavy rubber band across the controller to hold the throttle stick down. This was a little ugly but powerful. The trim for left/proper rotation needed some focus for every flight and the further weight more than the S107 produced the Avatar drop additional rapidly than I was implemented to. Applying the outrigger motors was tricky to coordinate with the throttle for level sideways flight since they use the exact same stick.
I initially felt the S107 merely had the Avatar beat for enjoyable and performance. As I said just before, I was incorrect! It took roughly ten flights and my whole perspective changed. Instinctively I was in a position to hold altitude and hover regularly. I started to get the really feel for the side motors and could coordinate slides clear across the space with the fourth axis. I could rotate and move sideways at the identical time and even creep forward and reverse - it was feeling alot more 3D all the time. Soon after an hour or so of flight time I was able to evaluate my new Avatar with my S107 and here is what I like about them each.
They both charge from my laptop in less than 1/two hour. The Avatar charges up around 30% more quickly.
They both fly long adequate for me to welcome a break. In other words I was happy with the length of flight time. The S107 flies longer by about 30% but length does not equal top quality and like I mentioned, I am normally satisfied when the batteries get low. I'm prepared to get recharged with the LiPos.
They each lift off steadily and with ease. Neither makes any dramatic lunges or spins. The Avatar does not shoot for the ceiling like the S107 when the batteries are at complete charge but the S107 appears to float significantly more readily as the Avatar takes a little extra concentration to preserve it from sinking to the floor.
The S107 moves significantly more slowly than the Avatar by 50% or so but they both cease and turn speedily and accurately in the same manner.
I like to practice landings on compact flat surfaces other than the floor. I've gotten really good at it with both but due to the fact of the extra 6 grams of the Avatar, my landings with it are much better. The small additional mass appears to combat the buffeting of the air against the surrounding objects in the course of landing.
Both are sturdy and sturdy. I have crashed the S107 additional regularly and have replaced two rotor blades but it was the S107 that taught me to be careful. Both have made strong get in touch with against table legs and have fallen from heights. I somewhat assume that the Avatar's side motor nacelles tend to give a tiny protection for the blades in some circumstances.
Due to the fact I've learned to use the two little motors on the sides of the Avatar, I have come to like them a lot. I appreciate the miniature roar when they are engaged and the challenge to keep the Z008 at an even hover altitude. Leveling is under no circumstances an issue. Both side motors come on when moving either left or perfect, spinning in opposite directions. It is a exceptional and pleasant feature and what causes me to decide on the Avatar when it comes time for a tiny fun.
The Avatar comes with some spare components (blades) for the major, tail and side motors and a little Phillips screwdriver that does not appear to fit something, which includes the IR control door for the batteries. I hope to not will need them but they are there if I do. I would surely hope that spare components will turn into available on line as the Avatar deserves a following. When I come household from perform, I appear forward to a small fun and it is the Avatar Z008 that is on my mind.
UPDATE: As normally happens right following a evaluation is written, I managed to sheer the rotor shaft stopper pins. This is the portion that locks the top blades to the shaft that turns them. I have identified a supply for the component but it is not in stock. I did have a couple of hours worth of enjoyable out of this toy and I hope to be in a position to repair it for some additional in the future. I could complain about the high-quality but honestly, these points occur and everyone purchasing an RC helicopter soon comes to realize they are prone to these difficulties.

Immediately after reading some of the evaluations for this helicopter I was skeptical, but for a 4 channel the cost could not be beating. Out of the box I was greeted with a red (not blue) helicopter, which basically looks genuinely fantastic. I was surprised with how strong and properly constructed the helicopter feels. It weighs fairly a bit for a mini-rc but that does not stop it from shooting off to the ceiling when you nudge up the throttle. The Gyro does an great job at keeping the cyclic rock strong and the trim for the yaw is super very easy. I've but to charge the factor from the remote, the USB charger is as well very good! I'm having a steady 30 minute charge time from empty to full, and the battery lasts 9-11 minutes of flying. The side fans certain are noisy, but the do they trick and I havn't needed to add a great deal more throttle when working with them over what is normal for tilting a heli off it's axis.
I've hit a lot of things with the helicopter and it is durability has held. The top edge of the lower blades are a bit chewed up, but it nevertheless flys well. The package came with two extra most important blades and a spare for both the tail rotor and the side fans. Soon after smacking into a barstool 1 of the top weights flew off. It flew fine when I place it back on and a small glue will make confident that does not occur once again.
I deducted a star for a couple minor annoyances. The throttle is a bit touchy, it really is practically impossible to acquire that sweet spot, the remote has three channels but there's no way to adjust it on the heli, and the left/proper cyclic and yaw are switched to the incorrect sticks on the controller.
I'm thinking of disabling the way-to-brilliant LED's to conserve energy and make it simpler to fly in low light situations.

Last year, Silverlit had brought to all RC fans a key shock with the introduction of their Tandem Z helicopter. A complete 3 channels control tends to make it capable to go forward, left, proper, slightly backward. Yet, a lot of consumer had been dissatisified with its quality, they said it is also quick to break, and they do not like the weird front and rear stabilizer attaching to the Tandem Z. This year Syma had finally introudced their own version of Tandem Z, built with the coaxial blade platform, it gives double the stability in compares to a Tandem Z, you don't need to have to trim the helicopter consistently to get it stable. And you can manually adjust the flying style. For example if you want the helicopter to lean additional to the forward, you can press the button on the suitable shoulder a handful of instances, it will make the Rear rotor Blade spins quicker than the front rotor, generating the helicopter tends to fly forward. And vice versa, if you want the helicopter to fly considerably backward. And you can also attempt the neutral flying mode, which is helicopter not leaning to either forward or backward, I personally like this the most, the easier mode to manage.

Buyer Reviews

I am shocked myself - This is going to be the most positive evaluation I've ever written on any webpage, for any product - This copter is that decent! I caught the heli bug three years ago whilst recovering from a broken hip, going from two to 3 to 4 channel indoor copters, as effectively as a handful of higher end outdoor models.
Of them all, the Syma S026 Chinook (and make sure it is this 1! extra on that later)is the most stable and easiest to fly Helicopter in our collection. It does whatever you want it to do - precisely. Getting been by means of the horrors of two-channel units, which definitely don't do anything at all but go up and down (and spin out of manage! semi-LOL), it's wonderful to acquire an low-cost that definitely flies - not randomly, but lets you be a actual pilot.
Hit the up controller and it goes straight proportional to quantity of throttle input. Go forward or backwards, and it goes exactly where you want it to. Hover it correct next to you, and it stays there till you send it on a new mission. Up, Down backwards, forwards sideways and box patterns - no matter what you command, it does it - and does it properly.
Following a number of bumps/crashes into walls, floor and even a wife (I said I was SORRY!) the Chinook is nevertheless in one particular piece. (Knock on wood) The rotors haven't broken but - a 1st for me. In most cases I shed a rotor on these just about every other flight.
Now that they are installing LiPo batteries in the small copters, battery life is exceptional as well. Syma supplies what they call a balancing charger, which brings my battery to full energy in much less than an hour.
As extended as you can tolerate/understand the comically translated instructions, you will definitely get pleasure from this a single. I would also advise for child's use - just make sure they are supervised, and that you have some spare parts as well. Best of the list ought to be an additional complete set of propeller blades. Absolutely nothing is worse than beginning to fly, hitting one thing just appropriate (or just plain wrong) breaking a blade - and getting to wait a week or two for new components to come. I know 1 day even I will break a prop, so we at all times keep a handful of on hand.
Other than that, I cannot see or foretell any other 'consumable' parts in this one particular. Just (very carefully) take out of the box, charge and fly. Regardless of whether you happen to be just beginning out mastering to fly, or are experienced - You're going to like this helicopter - A Lot!
BTW - Syma makes many versions of this copter, as do numerous other manufacturers. Syma also tends to make 1 that is just about the same size and price tag - It is not the similar! Order the S026, and you are going to get the perfect one. Chinnoks are not all the very same. Pleased Flying.

Was seeking for an RC Helicopter for my seven year old grandson that was durable, reasonably oprative highly painless to controll yet outstanding entertaining and at a
very reasonable value. He is on his fourth day and has seriously played with it a lot and it has currently passed the air hogs I applied to decide to buy by you guessed it four days. Don - Smyrna DE
